January 23, 2018 – M&H Wins First Department Appeal Dismissing Suit Against Chelsea Building Owner And Property Manager

In this action to recover for personal injuries allegedly sustained as a result of a stairway accident that occurred during the blackout caused by Superstorm Sandy, the Appellate Division, First Judicial Department, in accordance with M&H’s arguments on appeal, unanimously held that M&H’s clients had no duty to illuminate the stairwell during the widespread power outage, and thus awarded summary judgment.
